1. What did Jesus say you will do if you love him?
    1. He said that if you love him you will do good works.
    2. Right Answer! He said that if you love you will obey him.
    3. He said that if you love him that you would feed his sheep.
    4. He said that if you love him that you would endure to the end.
      John 14:15-24
"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"
23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

  2. Where is the Temple during the church age?
    1. It is the local church building.
    2. The Temple would be the regional headquarters for your denomination.
    3. It is in Rome.
    4. Right Answer! It is inside of every true Christian.
      1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

  3. What does it take to be a saint?
    1. Right Answer!Every true Christian is a saint.
    2. You must perform three verifiable miracles before you are ordained a saint.
    3. You must be a Jewish Christian.
    4. There have been no true saints after the time covered by the book of Acts.
      Titus 1:1-3
1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness-- 2 a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3 and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior, ... The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

The word "saint" does not appear in the NIV. The word above "God's elect" comes closest. God's elect are those that are born-again, that is, every Christian is one of God's elect and also a saint.

  4. What must occur first before you can become a Christian?
    1. You must repent and be baptized in water.
    2. Right Answer! You must be called by God.
    3. You must have a clear conscience, a pure heart, and sincere faith.
    4. You must confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
      Jude 1
Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,
To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

  5. What is the church?
    1. It is the building where Christians gather to worship God.
    2. It is the place where Christians gather to worship God.
    3. Right Answer! It is the body of believers.
    4. None of the above are correct.
      1 Corinthians 1:22
To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours:
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

  6. Which is the baptism that must take place in order for you to become a Christian?
    1. You must be water baptized by total immersion.
    2. You can be totally immersed or sprinkled provided you do so in faith.
    3. You must first be cleaned in John's baptism then you can be baptized into Christ?
    4. Right Answer! The Holy Spirit must enter into you and this is called baptism too, (I am not talking about baptism of the Holy Ghost like the Pentecostals teach.)

The answer to this is subtle. Water baptism is symbolic of your having died to the world and then being united to Jesus so that through Jesus' resurrection we are resurrected. This is all about our being actually united to Christ by faith which is called being born-again. You must die to the world and be united to God through Christ and he then enters into you and this union--Him to us--saves us.

  7. Which statement is most correct?
    1. Right Answer! We must read the Old Testament and the New Testament frequently.
    2. We don't need Old Testament now because Jesus Chris fulfilled it.
    3. We don't really need to read the Old or the New Testament if you go to church where biblical truths are taught.
    4. We don't need to read from the Scriptures because the Holy Spirit is our Teacher and he lives inside of us teaching what we need to know.
      Matthew 5:17-20
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

Every single word of the Old and New Testaments are holy. You cannot ignore any of it. Keep in mind that when Paul was talking about the Holy Scriptures he was talking about the OT and not the NT which had not yet been written.

  8. How can you determine if a person is a true prophet or a false prophet?
    1. Right Answer! The spirit of what a true prophet says agrees with what the Spirit says the Bible means.
    2. False prophet is anyone today that claims to be a prophet, because the day of prophets has passed.
    3. No true prophet would allow himself to appear on the television.
    4. A true prophet will have long hair and a beard.

There is no single Bible passage that says this, but it is nonetheless true. God doesn't say one thing here than then another thing there. Everything that he says agrees with everything else he has said.

  9. What event marks the end of the time for true prophets?
    1. It is when the Bible was completed, because once the Bible was complete there was no longer any need for prophets.
    2. You can only be a prophet if you saw the Lord Jesus in the flesh so when the last of the first generation saints died, that was the end of prophets.
    3. Right Answer! The Second Coming of Christ Jesus marks the end of the day of prophets.

The event that marked the end of prophets was the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

      1 Corinthians 13:8-12
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.

The time that this is talking about is the Second Coming of Christ. "...then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." That says it all.

  10. What does the Bible say will happen on the Last Day?
    1. Everyone that has ever lived will be gathered and they will stand before the Lord and be judged.
    2. The entire universe will be removed and so will heaven, and God will create a new heaven and a new earth.
    3. Those that have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life will live with God forever, and those that don't have their names in the book will see the Lord.
    4. Right Answer! All of the above.
      John 6:39-40
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.
      Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.
      Revelation 21:1-5
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
The New International Version, (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Publishing House) 1984.
