Growing Closer

Gracious Heavenly Father please help us grow
cause our love for You to more regularly show
Our prayer Father God is to grow in Your grace
that we may share Your Holy Love in this place

Great art thou Father God and great is Thy Love
may we fit together Lord like a favored glove
With each step each breath each blink of an eye
we trust in You and share all the reasons why

Gone are the days we relied solely upon man
forsaken are those ways since New Life began
Each day we grow in the knowledge of our God
the closer we are to You and more we are awed

Trials and temptations remain a part of our life
through You we learn to deal with all such strife
Lord it is with Your strength we firmly resolve
to keep far away from sin and all it can involve

In The Name of Your Son true wisdom is found
and the evil one has trouble running us around
oh he sends his minions to seek us and bind us
now his evil friends see Jesus when they find us

All glory to You Father all glory to Thy Holy Son
all glory to Thy Holy Spirit for great victory won
To know Christ Jesus so closely is to know You
God may our lives display where all glory is due
