When Was the Last Time

Gracious Father God on bended knees we come to Your spacious throne with matters bothersome We question how very little we praise You in a day midst the congestion that whittles our days away

When was the last time we shared Thy Holy Gospel has it been that we are scared they may be hostile And Father God when did we humbly pray and fast was it on Sunday and Monday or maybe long past

At our work or school around the gatherings' table as fellow workers are blathering re: "faith's fable" Lord are we the ones saying "Christ is my Savior" or playing as if we are enticed by their behavior

If a neighbor states that "Christ was a good man" do we agree He's a favorite and we are His "fan" Is that when we dare tell them Thy Story complete or dispel all Thy Glory by quickly fleeing in defeat

Oh Lord God when do we openly praise Thy Name to share Hope only in Thee in these days of shame Lord when was the last time we led someone to You did we spend an hour in church hoping that would do

Here we are Dear Father lying face down and prone dearly praying for our Father's embrace at the throne You know the excuse we've extended is merely lame may we show our faith is no ruse and lift up Thy Name
