Look For No Other

Isn't it just like us Dear Lord to wonder if it is You
to trust there may be another doing what You do
It's true John did not want any others to wonder
but due to You we can put those thoughts asunder

So many witnessed what Your Only Son did on earth
we are blessed by Thy Testament and all it is worth
We read what those who saw Him wrote in first hand
now we need to quote their words throughout this land

You have given us The Testaments both Old and New
we are to live as testaments of faith bold and true
It is easy to see and hear then accept and go share
for these are the truths to let the world know we care

Thy Word is ours so we can have the armor and gear
and go forward not fearing harm to all far and near
What You've done for us You'll do for others as well
Your Son Jesus is still for Sisters and Brothers to tell

We cannot tell of Christ if not following His commands
and need not be surprised at all if we sit on our hands
Those who went before us such as John Stephen Paul
sent word for us to carry on for Jesus even if we fall

There is labor to be done in Thy Name Gracious Lord
Thy way is set before us and no games can we afford
"Art thou he that should come or look we for another"
not if we would share Your Book from cover to cover
