A New Song

Lord we praise You together we praise You Lord
may our praises never be in ways of any discord
Lord we sing to You a new song a song of praise
to You Lord we belong and we do in all Your ways

Lord may our new song be music to Your holy ears
oh let it be of use to Thee not solely for our peers
Our new song can be a portrait of You that we paint
if we long to achieve Your traits and never be faint

Lord we will sing this song when we all congregate
and more so bring them who will fall to rededicate
We will sing to Thee in the workplace and our home
to Thee we'll sing as You empower in fields we comb

Since before our birth Lord You have ever been true
hence for You we'll work on earth so men come to You
In battles and in conflicts Lord or in peril or in peace
man's matters can't restrict these new carols to cease

Lord to our left and our right enemies seek to deceive
fore and aft day and night yet in You Lord we believe
Singing praises to Thee beckons serenity to our hearts
yet bringing enemies' wrecking with all evil imparts

Lord may our new song be a resolution in Your eyes
far more than our way of disillusion in poor disguise
You deserve to hear a new song for all You've done
if we serve without fear we will belong to Your Son
