This Servant's Heart

Give me Thy servant's heart Oh Lord
lest needs of the deserving go ignored
Lord lead me to assist every neighbor
where their existence needs my Savior

Lord I am here to serve in Thy Name
let me live with a fervor not for fame
As Your Son lifted me from my gutter
I'm to share gifts without one mutter

In total submission unto Thee Oh God
no ill to subvert Thy vision for this sod
Staying my eyes on Thee while I serve
never swaying from serving with verve

When there is a need help me to nab it
until heeding Thee is my only my habit
I'm not here to amass more on shelves
but to serve those who can't themselves

Oh Lord if I am to be as Thee so humble
I will go forward even though I stumble
God give me a vision to meet Thy cause
with no mission to seek worldly applause

Where I go Father please go inside of me
show me needs I've not bothered to see
Lord God fill me with the Love of Thy Son
for Thy will is for me to love every one
