No Time Like Today

Though grass seems greener on the other side
one's crass demeanor can become hard to hide
Those who crossed the line often die by the sword
hopeless is one who chose to defy Christ The Lord

The little voice that beckons one to come over here
toys with one's mind and reckons without one fear
The heart of a chameleon man changes to any hue
and arranges a million ways to keep many from You

The ungodly find counsel from all wrong resources
it takes not very long to be felled by the evil forces
Salvation is not based upon how one has behaved
in all situations one has faced it is time to be saved

Lord at times we forget Jesus Christ died for us all
let us not be surprised He is beside us when we fall
You have gifted us with bountiful blessings to share
and The Love You give is beautiful beyond compare

Coming home to Your Love is healing to each bruise
roaming leaves us reeling from accepting evil's ruse
Beaten and battered then worn and torn and tossed
that never matters to one reborn at Thy Son's cross

We know someone who is filled with fear from a loss
there is no time like today to lead them near the cross
The cross is Your doorstep and You stand at that door
because unkempt or content they're whom You wait for
