"And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said unto her, Weep not."
Luke 7:13
Weep Not
Denis Brent Rees
My compassionate Father take one look at me
fashion me just as You would want me to be
Wipe these tears that well up 'round my eyes
ease my fears You tell by the sound of my cries
From the window of life crisis finds its way in
come to me as Christ did the widow at Nain
Revive dead cells from this heart I call mine
may they yet jibe not in part but as all Thine
Some things I see as no more than circumstance
bring me closer to God of second and third chance
Sadness has not prevailed when I turned to Thee
it pales to the gladness I've sensed in Your security
I confess Your love has not been fully appreciated
because without help from above I am incarcerated
You have opened my eyes to see You more clearly
now I have Hope and our ties I hold more dearly
Lord can You see both of my hands lifted up high
for it is You who has gifted me and upon You I rely
Lord I am praising You and praying from this earth
and may all my ways be displaying what is rebirth
The widow was unaware of Lord's presence so near
as in the middle of despair she went toward the bier
Lord forgive me for not realizing Your omnipresence
for I opt live my life showing You are my Essence
In The Name of Christ Jesus
Amen!
