Thee Whom I Serve

Oh my God when I consider all You have done
I have not one sliver of doubt no my God not one
My God it was You who gave more than I deserve
it was You who forgave me and Thee whom I serve

Your Love came to me when I was alone and bereft
since then I've known Thy Comfort that's never left
Great are Thy mercies and great Thy unending grace
ills I perceive tend to be greater than those I'll face

To fear Thee my God is to show both awe and respect
clearly You have known me to dishonor and neglect
To serve Thee my God is to do more than just asked
but to muster the verve You deserve for Your tasks

Oh my God it is my desire to do well in Thy Name
to be on fire and compelled to live the life I claim
Not to turn the other way when labor's to be done
but yearn to help others as did my Savior Thy Son

Open my eyes God to see needs where needs arise
sowing seeds for my God not letting greed be a prize
Help me guide me to put food on someone's table
with Christ inside I'll do good as Thy Son makes able

Oh my God great things can You get done through me
so create in me streams of faith that flow naturally
Where there is Thy work to be done send me to react
to dare serve my wonderful God in truth and in fact
