Christmas can be such a wonderful time singing traditional carols of lyrical rhyme Bags of toys and boxed sweet confections toted afar to express loving connections

Friends and families try their best to mesh 'round the new tree and the old pine creche Loved ones we haven't seen in many years share stories with smiles or sometimes tears

Church members perform the songs and plays attracting neighbors they don't see other days Not every one knows The Story through song and perceptions are often proved very wrong

We need to explain what had really occurred how God blessed a virgin to deliver His Word Father just as You blessed sweet Virgin Mary You have blessed us with Thy Word to carry

Father sometimes we act like we don't care to be Your vessels filled with Jesus to share If we don't keep telling The Christmas Story we've lost opportunities to give You the glory

Merry Christmas Father thank You for Thy Son Love so great He must be shared with everyone Without Jesus we are wrapped up in ourselves He is Wonderful too wonderful for our shelves
