'Just one Lord and just one God
We worship, and no more.'
Is what the Mormon said to me
Whilst standing at my door.
But then I found they stood their ground
With resolute intention.
And told me there are gods on gods
And more than they could mention.
'Each god has one above him, friend.'
The Mormon said to me.
(Quite clearly this is not the God
Which Scripture makes me see.)
The God of Scripture's well described
'Omnipotent!', 'Almighty!'
And these are words describing God
Which none should take too lightly.
------------------------------------
'There's a god above Elohiym'
Said the Mormon, here on earth.
God said, 'I know not any!'
So, who's words have lost their worth?
The Mormon god's created
Starting at a point in time.
The god above him's just the same.
And Mormons think that's fine.
Each Mormon god has one above
(The Mormon made me see.)
But let us all now study well,
For Scripture sets us free.
'FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING'
Thunders out the verse
Describing the Almighty!
(Could things get any worse?)
Mormon gods have origins.
The Bible God has none.
Clearly these are different gods.
How could they be the one?
The OMNIPOTENT, ALMIGHTY
Is subservient to none.
The Mormons are mislead, and so,
Their gods on gods are gone.
The Book of Mormon and the Scripture
On this point do agree:
OMNIPOTENT, ALMIGHTY
Is the One which they both see.
Strange, how then my door-knock friend
Refuses such clear words.
But Scripture, having spoken,
Is very rarely heard.
