No soccer on a Sunday
When I was just a child.
We saw the copper walking past
And hid the ball a while.

I remember that blue uniform
And how my heart did beat
For breaking laws of England
Playing soccer in the street.

Now the Adventist and the Jew
Have a thing to say, or two
About Saturday, and Moses, and the Law.
But if we study well,
We see we send ourselves to hell;
For by grace we're saved, not works.
That's what Paul saw.

....................................

Each "everlasting" covenant
Is perfectly fulfilled
In Jesus Christ our Saviour.
(Now that's what our God willed!)

Every ordinance and statute,
Jot and tittle of the Law;
Are all fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Now that's what our Paul saw.

...................................................

The true Sabbath's entered into
When we are born again.
We work the works of God, but from
Our own works do refrain.
