Lesson 346: “Mary Did You Know?"
Mary did you know that your baby will one day walk on water?
It was dark, the wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. Then Jesus approached, walking on water (John 6:16-20).
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Today salvation has come to this house for the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost (Luke 19:9-10). Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst (1 Tim. 1:15).
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17).
This child that you’ve delivered will soon deliver you?
And she gave birth to her firstborn a son (Luke 2:7), there is no other name under the heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners (Luke 4:18) and in the words of Paul; “what a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death” (Rom. 7:24)?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
The man named Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and then I could see (John 9:1-12).
That your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?
A furious squall came up and the waves broke over the boat. Jesus got up from sleeping and rebuked the wind and the waves (Mark 4:37-40).
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
God created the heavens and the earth while the morning stars sang and all the angels shouted (Job 38:1-7); ten thousand times ten thousand encircled the throne singing to the Lamb (Rev. 5:11-14).
And when you kiss your little baby you’ve kissed the face of God?
“I and the Father are one” (John 10:30).
Mary did you know the blind will see?
God send His Son to recover the sight of the blind (Luke 4:18).
The deaf will hear?
Jesus said, “Ephphatha!” And the man’s ears were opened (Mark 7:34-35).
And the dead will live again?
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:43-44) and He will raise Christians from the dead when He returns to gather those who are His (1 Thess. 4:16-17).
The lame will leap?
Then he went with them into the temple courts walking and jumping and praising God (Acts 3:6-8).
The dumb will speak the praises of the Lamb?
Jesus drove out a mute demon and the man spoke (Luke 11:14) and the people praised the God of Israel (Matt. 15:31).
Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
“For by Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible (Col. 1:15-17).
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
For You alone are holy and all nations will come and worship before you (Rev. 15:3-4), King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:16).
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect lamb?
Look! The Lamb of God (John 1:29), worthy is the Lamb who was slain (Rev. 5:12).
This sleeping child you’re holding is the Great I Am?
I AM WHO I AM (Ex. 3:14).
Mary may not have know that her baby boy would do all of these things but you and I should know this for sure. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and He “breathed” the Scriptures into His Book for the entire world to read about the miracles and wonders of our Lord and Savior. There is no reason not to KNOW!
