2 Peter 3:3-7
First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this "coming" he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God"s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (NIV)
He
is coming to wipe all rebellion from his domain.

Rather, Satan will be permanently cast out of heaven down to the earth where he will vent his rage against all who hold to the name of Jesus Christ, with the exception of the 144,000. (NIV) -

Questions about John 14:1-3
- Looking carefully at the promise of the Lord
he says that when he comes back he will take us to be where?
- Heaven.
- This is not the best answer. It is true that we will go to heaven, but that does not mean what most think that it means. We will be in heaven, yes, but we will also be operating in the earth, but from the spiritual side of things.
- To the millennial kingdom.
- The church will not be living in human bodies during the Millennial Kingdom Age.
- To specially prepared homes here on the earth.
- No, this is not the best answer.
To
be with him wherever he is.
- Yes, the promise is that when the Lord Comes we shall be with him forever.
- Heaven.
- Where is his Father"s house?
Heaven.
- Yes, this is the best answer.
- Outer space.
- God does not live in outer space. Outer space is what the Bible calls the second heaven, the first being the sky.
- Under the earth.
- No, this is a symbolic location of death, and of Hell.
- In the garden of Eden.
- God does live in Paradise, but not in the Garden of Eden on earth.
- In this passage of John 14:1-3 Jesus promised
to take us where immediately upon his return?
- Heaven.
- This is not the best answer. There is an element of truth to it, but it is misleading.
- To the Clouds.
- No, he doesn"t say that we will live in the clouds.
- To live in the houses that he has prepared.
- He doesn"t really say that, it sounds like he does but look carefully.
He
does not say in this passage exactly where we will go, only that we will
be with him.
- Yes, this is the best answer. We will be in heaven, but we shall also be dashing the nations of the earth with Jesus" iron scepter.
-
Revelation 2:26-27
To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations -- 27 "He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery" -- just as I have received authority from my Father. (NIV) - This promise of dashing the nations to pieces like pottery is from Psalm two. There the promise is made from the Father to Jesus. But here it is made from Jesus to the Church, that is, those who overcome the world. Any promise made to Jesus is also a promise to the Church, because as a Christian we live inside Jesus. Anyway, Jesus will be using the fourth kingdom, the iron kingdom to strike the nations in judgment, and because Jesus promised that when he returns he will gather is up and we will be with him forever, well then we will be on earth dashing the nations.

death.
- This is true, but it is not the best answer.
- When the last trumpet is sounded.
- This is true, but it is not the best answer.
All
of the above.
- Yes, this is the best answer. Satan, through his people on earth, will be persecuting the true Church and the Church will not shrink back from her devotion to the Lord. He
will remain in the earth while he removes all opposition to his rule.
- Yes, this is true, but while we are here we are also in heaven, that is, we have receive our spirit bodies. I don"t think that exactly what this means is fully comprehendible to us. We will be like Jesus in his glorified state, working with him to accomplish his will.

- Jesus will not be visible to all the people of the world.
- He will sit physically on the throne in Jerusalem.
- Jesus will not be physically sitting on a throne in Jerusalem. He will be the reigning King of kings, but from the spirit realm. During this present age Satan is said to be the god of this age, and he is described as the king of the kingdoms of the earth, but we do not see him. It will in this manner that Jesus will be the King, but when Jesus is the King everything will be different. The world will not be the same place.

Away from me, you evildoers!" (NIV)

- This is also wrong for the same reason as (a.) above.
All

- This is true, but it is not he best answer.
- All Israel will believe that Jesus is the Christ.
- This is true, but it is not he best answer.
All
of the above.
- Yes, the beast will be revealed at that time, and he will gather his body the church in what is commonly called the rapture, and the rapture will open the eyes of the Israelites so that they then believe that Jesus Christ is the One that was to come.
- The beast will be revealed.
