Ephesians 1:4-6
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless
in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus
Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will -- 6 to the praise of his glorious
grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. (NIV)
2 Peter 1:3
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our
knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (NIV)
1 Corinthians 16:22
If anyone does not love the Lord -- a curse be on him. Come, O Lord! (NIV)
1 Peter 1:8-9
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now,
you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you
are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (NIV)
Ephesians 1:11
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him
who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, (NIV)

Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the
wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now
as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in
everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for
her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and
to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other
blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives
as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever
hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church
-- for we are members of his body. "For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This
is a profound mystery -- but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each
one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect
her husband. (NIV)
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is
temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (NIV)
Hebrews 1:10-12
He also says, "In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment. 12 You will roll them up like a robe; like
a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never
end." (NIV)
Genesis 24:67
Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she
became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
(NIV)
Romans 6:4-5
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just
as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live
a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly
also be united with him in his resurrection. (NIV)
John 3:29
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits
and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That
joy is mine, and it is now complete. (NIV)
Matthew 25:1-13
"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their
lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were
wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise,
however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time
in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
"At midnight the cry rang out: "Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet
him!'
"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said
to the wise, "Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'
""No,' they replied, "there may not be enough for both us and you.
Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'
"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The
virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was
shut.
"Later the others also came. "Sir! Sir!' they said. "Open the door
for us!'
"But he replied, "I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. (NIV)
